It's Just Those Rainy Days...

Today, we finally had our first batch of thunderstorms for this year. We've needed the rain for a while, so even though it meant muddy paws on the dogs, we were willing to deal with it if it meant greener grass in the morning.

Our garden also welcomed the extra nourishment!

Unfortunately, Mr. Cheddar is having some problems with his peppers:

They're the plants on the far left of the box, with the stakes. They're turning yellow due to low nitrogen in the soil (according to my dad) so we have to go get some bonemeal and epsom salt tomorrow to try to remedy it.

And my herb garden is flourishing! I had to re-plant the oregano and lavender and also added some sage, but none of those have sprouted yet. My cilantro and dill are growing the fastest but the basil is also doing really well.

It's supposed to be rainy for the rest of the week, which is great because our front yard really needs the nourishment.
